7th Annual ThinkDIFFERENTLY Picnic a Great Success!

Dutchess County held its 7th Annual ThinkDIFFERENTLY Picnic today at Cady Field in the Town of Pleasant Valley, and County Executive Marc Molinaro welcomed hundreds of children and young adults with disabilities from throughout our county and their families for a great day of live music, a delicious and nutritious lunch, and a circus midway theme with animals, games, stilt-walkers, jugglers, and face-painting!

We thank our sponsors — including Baright Enterprises/Foam & Wash, Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health, Greystone Programs, BluePath Service Dogs, Williams Lumber & Home Centers, Access Supports for Living, Barton & Loguidice, Royal Carting, Wappingers Congress of Teachers, MidHudson Regional Hospital, Rhinebeck Animal Hospital, and Dave's Tree Service — for choosing to 'ThinkDIFFERENTLY' about those living with special needs, and for their generosity, allowing all in attendance to enjoy a memorable day at no charge. We also appreciate the contributions of our many volunteers, various Dutchess County Government departments, in-kind donors and community sponsors for helping make this day possible.

Throughout the year, Dutchess County hosts a variety of similarly inclusive events, including the 3rd Annual Disability, Dream & Do Baseball Camp at Dutchess Stadium on August 3rd and ThinkDIFFERENTLY Thursday at the Dutchess County Fair on August 22nd.
