Archery Sessions to Begin Next Weekend at Bowdoin Park

Poughkeepsie…The Dutchess County Parks Division will once again be offering weekend archery sessions at Bowdoin Park throughout the spring season. Beginning neArcheryxt Saturday, March 26th and continuing into May, adults and children ages 8 and up will have the opportunity to review and practice their archery skills. The sessions are designed for children and adults with any level of archery experience. Space is limited, registration is required.

County Executive Marc Molinaro said, “Our weekend archery sessions at Bowdoin Park have been a popular program for children and adults. We are looking forward to offering this program again in the spring, providing participants the opportunity to learn more about the sport and practice their skills.”

The program consists of five classes, each an hour long. The first session will cover basic archery safety and skills for new participants. The majority of the sessions will be spent practicing with the bows, allowing participants to learn through experience. The cost for the program is $50 per person which includes all five classes. Equipment will be provided at no additional charge. Sessions will be held in the auditorium at Bowdoin Park.

“Bowdoin Park’s archery program provides participants with all levels of experience the opportunity to practice and hone their skills while gaining a better understanding of the sport.
