Dear Neighbors,
We have a free community celebration event coming up, in partnership with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Office of Community Engagement! Join us March 7, 11 a.m.- 2 p.m., at the Village at Centennial Springs, 7585 Norman Rockwell Lane.
We'll have amazing band performances, a community vendor fair, public safety vehicle displays, face painting, balloon artists and more fun for the whole family.
We also have our next shredding event that same day! Bring your documents for safe shredding. We'll be at Centennial Hills Community Center 10 a.m.-noon (or until truck reaches capacity).
Limit of five boxes or bundles per car. Please bring materials in a disposable bag or bin, removing trash, binders and paperclips.

Thank you, Las Vegas Fire & Rescue Station 48, for the opportunity to ride along today! Spending time with your crew and seeing your work up close was inspiring. Our firefighters show up every day with courage, compassion and professionalism.

Prioritizing Traffic Safety
In Ward 6, we take traffic safety seriously. When neighbors in Skye Canyon raised concerns about the intersection on Skye Canyon Drive, we got to work. Thanks to close collaboration with residents and our city’s traffic safety team, we’re making our neighborhoods safer.
Taping A New 'Access City Council' Episode
On our new "Access City Council" episode, we reviewed all of our accomplishments this past year. Then, we stopped by a local Ward 6 small business, Vibes DIY Studio, with a very special guest -- our fabulous Mayor Shelley Berkley!

Calling Artists!
The city of Las Vegas, in partnership with the city of Las Vegas Arts Commission, invites seniors age 50+ to enter the Celebrating Life! free juried art competition. Now in its 26th year, this competition and exhibition highlight the creative talents of Southern Nevada artists, displaying a diverse array of artistic expression.
Utility Tax/Sewer Rebate Program
The Utility Tax/Sewer Rebate Program is offered by the city of Las Vegas to low-income seniors who reside within the city limits. Applications may be filed with the city through March 3, 2026. Call 702-229-1702 to schedule an appointment.
A Bridge Between Young Adults And LVMPD Leadership
This appointed council will serve as a bridge between the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) and young adults by providing a unified platform for emerging leaders, ages 18-25, to share their perspectives, voice their concerns, assist LVMPD in a fresh perspective and collaborate with LVMPD leadership.
Self-nominations and recommendation for nominations for young adults who are active in the community with a passion for leadership and advocacy are open now.
