Don't Miss The Latest Episode Of Our "Access City Council" Show
Brendan Vargas is a retired U.S. Air Force Senior Master Sergeant. He has worked diligently to help Councilwoman Allen-Palenske and other community stakeholders establish a new, permanent home for our Nevada State Veterans Memorial. The groundbreaking at the Thunderbird Family Sports Complex Jan. 14 represented more than the start of construction; it was a promise to remember, honor and retell the stories of our veterans to future generations.
Friends of Parkinson's Board Chair Jamillah Ali-Rahman also was a guest on the show. She leads a nonprofit organization that's dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by Parkinson’s disease through education, resources, advocacy and community. Their mission is to improve the community spirit and quality of life for those affected by Parkinson's disease. In the spring, they will have a race to create awareness, raising critical funds while celebrating resilience and hope. For more information, visit their website at https://www.friendsofparkinsons.org.
