Las Vegas Civic Center & Carolyn G. Goodman Plaza Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony
On behalf of Mayor Shelley Berkley and my colleagues, I’d like to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us for the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the Las Vegas Civic Center and Carolyn G. Goodman Plaza. The new building and plaza are a testament to a shared vision and commitment of multiple mayors, city of Las Vegas managers past and present, the amazing city staff, and CORE Construction, who contributed to bringing this newest city gem to our city hall campus.
I would like to invite members of the Mayfair neighborhood tonight Thursday, Sept. 18, for the Mayfair Neighborhood meeting at Hollingsworth Elementary School library! This meeting is a place to share all your concerns for our neighborhood with city of Las Vegas staff and our Downtown Area Command.
Next Saturday, Sept. 27, at 4 p.m., the Nevada Latino Arts and Culture Association will be hosting a FREE Fiesta on the Plaza in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.
You are invited to the East Las Vegas Community Center Oct. 4 to a free health fair open to everyone to receive important health services and resources, including vision screenings, flu vaccines, general health screenings and more!
