Celebrate Parks and Recreation month by visiting your neighborhood community center, pool or park! From exciting activities, events and memberships, our parks, recreation and cultural affairs facilities have amenities for all to enjoy. Find a park or facility near you and join the celebration!

Summer Splash Bash

Garside Pool, 250 S. Torrey Pines Drive

July 26, 6 p.m.

Summer is halfway over and we are throwing a huge party splash-style! Join us for dancing, swimming, games and a live DJ playing your favorite music. 

Fall Sports Registration begins July 30

Discover a world of fun and fitness with our diverse lineup of sports leagues! Whether you're into baseball, softball, pickleball, indoor hockey, flag football, kickball or Vegas Bourne soccer, there's something for every youth athlete. Financial assistance is available to ensure all kids can participate.

Adults, don't miss out! We offer leagues in pickleball, softball and volleyball, perfect for staying active and connecting with others in our community.

Nerf Mania

Veteran’s Memorial Center, 101 N. Pavilion Center Dr.

Aug. 1, 6 to 7:30pm

When the summer sun sizzles, enjoy family fun indoors with Nerf Mania! Players will enjoy a battle royale of Nerf fun, including capture the flag, team and individual competitions. Players must provide their own Nerf gun; the center will provide the darts and goggles.

Back-to-School Fair

Stupak Community Center, 251 W. Boston Ave.

Aug. 2, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Make a splash at Garside pool! This pool is only open during summer so grab your friends and family and enjoy fun in the sun before it's too late.

Summer Hours:

• Monday/Wednesday/Friday: 7-9 p.m. (Recreational Swim)

• Tuesday: 2-4 p.m. (Recreational Swim)

• Thursday/Saturday: 12-4 p.m. (Recreational Swim)

• Closed Sundays

Amenities:

• Outdoor activity pool with zero-depth entrance and play features

• Water slides and one-meter diving board

• Four-lane, 25-yard lap pool

• Shaded party areas

• Coast Guard-approved life jackets

• Swimming lessons (private, semi-private, and group)

• Water polo, artistic swimming, springboard diving, and swim teams for youth

Daily Fees:

• Ages 3 & under: Free

• Ages 4-17: $2

• Adults (18-49): $3

• Seniors (50+): $2

Monthly Passes:

• 1-Month Swim Pass: $15 (ages 4-17 and 50+); $30 (adults 18-49)

• 3-Month Swim Pass: $35 (ages 4-17 and 50+); $70 (adults 18-49)

• 1-Month Exercise Pass: $20 (ages 16+)

Please note: Children under 7 or under 48” tall must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Check with our front desk for swim diapers and Coast Guard-approved flotation devices.
