Concert in the Park in Ward 2: Shapiro Project

Shapiro Project is a Las Vegas-based jazz quartet led by guitarist and composer Eugene Shapiro. The band features Eugene’s brother Boris Shapiro on drums, Brian Triola on keyboards and Phil Wigfall on saxophone. Their original works and creative musicianship give their music a sparkling vitality. All the band members are professional jazz musicians with more than 20 years experience performing jazz and commercial music all over the world. Their first album, “True Colors,” was released in January 2002, and their most recent, “Planet X,” was released in 2019. They perform straight-ahead to modal jazz, as well as funk, Latin jazz, contemporary jazz, jazz-rock/fusion and hip, jazzy arrangements of pop, rock, and rhythm and blues tunes.
