Vegas Tuffest Jr. World Championship
Wednesday-Friday, Dec. 1-10
This event is rodeo finals featuring those 19 years old and younger who qualified at events that were held across the United States and Canada throughout the year. They will be competing for a projected $1 million payout in breakaway roping, barrel racing, goat tying and tie-down calf roping. Road closures started at 8 a.m. Nov. 30; roads will reopen at 8 p.m. Dec. 11. Major closures: Symphony Park Road between Martin L. King Boulevard and Grand Central Parkway. See the map below.
 2021 Mint 400 Off-Road Festival
Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 1-2
This is an annual off-road festival that hosts over 200 vendors from the off-road industry. The Mint 400 Off-Road Festival is designed to draw off-road race fans and enthusiasts from all over Las Vegas and the United States. Road closures started at 6 a.m. Dec. 1. Roads will reopen midnight Dec. 3. Major closures: Fremont Street from Las Vegas Boulevard to 11th Street; lane closure on Las Vegas Boulevard from Ogden Avenue to Fremont Street and 11th Street from Fremont Street to Stewart Avenue.  Rigid Industries Illuminate the Night Block Party
Thursday, Dec. 2
This is the annual Mint 400 party at Hogs & Heifers with industry folks and related vehicles. Road closures start at 4 p.m. Dec. 2. Roads will reopen at 2 a.m. Dec. 3. Major closures: Third Street between Stewart and Ogden avenues. See the map below.
 First Friday in the Arts District
Friday, Dec. 3
First Friday is a monthly art, music and food festival in the Arts District. Road closures start at 10 a.m. Dec. 3. Roads will reopen at 11:30 p.m. Major closures: Boulder to Hoover avenues, Art Way to First Street, Coolidge Avenue from Main Street to Casino Center Boulevard. See the map below.
 Great Santa Run
Saturday, Dec. 4
This annual 1-mile and 5K fun run in downtown Las Vegas is a fundraiser for Opportunity Village. Road closures start at 5 a.m. Dec. 4. Roads will reopen at 2 p.m. Major closures: Las Vegas Boulevard to 9th street; Charleston Boulevard to Ogden Avenue. See the map below.
 Tony Hsieh Celebration
Saturday, Dec. 11
This celebration features an art car showcase, food trucks and bars. Road closures start at noon. Dec. 11. Roads will reopen at 2 a.m. Dec 12. Major closures: Seventh Street between Fremont Street and Carson Avenue. See the map below.
