Ward 3 Header

Dear Ward 3 neighbors,

I would like to share a few of the activities happening in and around Ward 3 to celebrate Black History Month. Don't miss our City Hall Chamber Gallery’s African-American Heritage Exhibition featuring works by local artists through April 14. KCLV-TV 2 will feature a virtual tour of the exhibit on an upcoming "City Beat" show. The East Las Vegas Community Center is inviting youth to choose a person from black history that has inspired them and enter the “Extending the Dream Mixed-Media Contest” through Feb. 18. Award categories range from elementary to high school. Feb. 18, the Las Vegas My Brother’s Keeper Alliance and Batteries Included will host a movie screening of “Antebellum” in The Smith Center parking lot. For additional details on these and other events, please click here.

I hope you enjoy catching up on some of my recent activities and learn about upcoming Ward 3 events happening in partnership with local organizations like the Culinary Academy of Las Vegas and Get Outdoors Nevada.

Yours in service,

Olivia Díaz

My office partnered with the Culinary Academy of Las Vegas, the office of Clark County Commissioner Tick Segerblom, and our gracious host, Valley High School, to kick off our first 2021 Ward 3 food pop-up. Six hundred families received 40 pounds of groceries at the drive-through event. Scroll below for upcoming dates!

#GetCentered @ The Center

Jan. 28, the LGBTQ Center of Southern Nevada hosted a Supply A Teacher school supplies drive to honor the legacy of Robert "Bob" Forbuss and his passion for education. It was a pleasure to donate a basket of supplies and learn of all the amazing services The Center offers residents in the heart of Ward 3. Check them out  here!
