     NV Energy is offering customers age 62 years and over, who meet income guidelines, the opportunity to apply directly for Project Reach energy assistance to receive up to $150 off a past due NV Energy balance. Traditionally theses expos are held every year across the valley in person. However, given the current circumstances, NV Energy will be hosting this expo telephonically. Customers will need to submit a copy of their completed worksheet and proof of income by July 10, 2020, and then call NV Energy at 833-940-2737 July 14-23, 2020, (available 24 hours a day) to complete their application with a customer service representative.

 

     ** Please note that this expo aims to specifically serve Southern Nevada customers. Customers located in northern Nevada can benefit from NV Energy’s SAFE (Special Assistance Fund for Energy) program by following the instructions on  https://www.nvenergy.com/account-services/assistance-programs/safe .

Eviction Proceeding Information & Timeline


     As you know, the Governor's moratorium on residential and commercial evictions expired July 1, 2020. Governor Sisolak's lifting of the moratorium on residential and commercial evictions will occur in phases from July 1, 2020, through Sept. 1, 2020.  Summary evictions may resume Sept. 1, 2020. Please see the attached chart. We have highlighted the sections which pertain to the nonpayment of rents and those sections which mandate that no retroactive late fees may be charged for failure to pay rent between March 30, 2020, and June 30, 2020. Late fees may begin July 1.

 

     The Emergency Directive may be found by clicking the link below.  The directive also contains several attachments including a lease addendum and promissory note drafted by the Attorney General's Office for landlords and tenants to use for rental arrearages due to COVID-19.
