The Nevada Preservation Foundation is a local historic preservation non-profit that focuses on the retention and revitalization of our community’s historic buildings and resources. NPF’s newest branch focuses on community revitalization and NPF recently established the Revolving Fund for Historic Neighborhood Revitalization.
The Revolving Fund is a real estate development tool that will focus on rehabilitating vacant and abandoned properties, starting with vacant homes located within the Historic Westside community. The primary goal is to revitalize some of the vacant, derelict housing that is prevalent within the historic and older neighborhoods of the Westside. NPF will restore the homes back to their historic quality, focused on vacant housing that was built in the 1940s, '50s, and '60s.
The next meeting to discuss this is taking place Wednesday, April 10, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Historic Westside School, 330 W. Washington Ave, Suite 106. For more information, call the Nevada Preservation Foundation at 855-968-3973.
