Motorists Can Expect Delays And Multiple Road Closures Downtown On Sunday, Nov. 11
Veterans Day Parade And Marathon Close Some Streets For More Than 12 Hours
Several major streets in downtown Las Vegas will be closed on Sunday, Nov. 11, due to the Veterans Day Parade and the Toyota Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas Marathon & ½ Marathon.
Closures will begin at 7 a.m. with Fourth Street between Coolidge and Ogden avenues as preparations are made for the Veterans Day Parade that begins at 10 a.m. In addition, portions of Ogden east and west of Fourth will also be closed for the parade. See the parade route map for additional details.
Many more streets will be closing throughout the day in preparation of the annual marathon. Las Vegas Boulevard, Fourth Street, Main Street, Casino Center Boulevard, Grand Central Parkway, Bridger Avenue and Bonneville Avenue are some of the roadways that will have at least partial closures. Veterans Day Parade Sunday, Nov. 11
Annual Veterans Day Parade held downtown on Fourth Street from Gass Avenue to Ogden Avenue. Closures start at 6 a.m. Roads reopen at 3 p.m. Major closures: Fourth Street from Las Vegas Boulevard to Stewart Avenue. See the map below.
The 2018 Rock & Roll Marathon, half marathon and 10K will be held on the Las Vegas Strip and downtown Las Vegas. The event will begin on the Strip, go through the streets in the downtown area and finish in front of The Mirage. Closures start at 2 p.m. Nov. 11. Roads reopen at 11 p.m. Nov. 11.
