Knights and RTC Team Up Again to Offer Golden Knights Express

The “Golden Knights Express” returns this hockey season with the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) providing fans throughout the valley with a convenient, safe and affordable option to travel to and from Vegas Golden Knights home games at T-Mobile Arena. The popular transit service will serve new park-and-ride locations, connecting every corner of the valley with the arena for just $2 one way.

Customers can conveniently park at one of five park-and-ride locations, board the Golden Knights Express and travel directly to a stop near T-Mobile Arena. All routes will pick up and drop off at the stop, where Frank Sinatra Drive connects with an access road just north of the Excalibur parking garage. From the stop, it is approximately a 10-minute walk to the arena.

The Golden Knights Express and park-and-ride locations include Red Rock Resort, Green Valley Ranch Resort, PT’s Ranch at Eastern and Pebble, Santa Fe Station, and Born and Raised Las Vegas in the southwest.

After the game, each route will depart the arena approximately 20 and 30 minutes after the game ends. For full details on the Golden Knights Express, including pick-up and drop-off times, visit the RTC’s website. Go Knights Go!

Washington Avenue Roadway Improvements through December 2018

Lane Restrictions Continue Weekdays through December 2018

Utility adjustments, milling and paving operations are under way on Washington Avenue between Bruce Street and Sandhill Road. Work hours will be 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Traffic will generally be restricted to one lane in each direction, east- and westbound, until work is completed. Primary work activities of milling and overlay repaving will take approximately three weeks within the 12-week schedule, subject to equipment availability. Following the paving, there will be small work zones while utilities/manholes are raised to be flush with the new pavement. Owens Avenue and Bonanza Road are recommended as alternate routes for east- and westbound traffic.

The current work consists of full-depth pavement removal and reconstruction, and installation of new traffic delineation and buffered bike lanes. Preliminary work was completed this spring and consisted of improvements to the sidewalk areas to meet federal Americans with Disabilities Act requirements, which included the reconstruction of concrete cross gutter, and curb and gutter.
