Buddy Bench
Buddy Bench has come to Ward 6 and I couldn't be more excited. Northwest Career and Technical Academy has helped build 10 Buddy Benches for elementary schools so students can make new buddies. They received sponsorship from Western Governors University Nevada (WGU Nevada) and the Nevada Contractors Board to help bring this project to life.
The Buddy Bench concept is one that is simple and still very important. Buddy Benches are meant to help foster friendship and eliminate loneliness on the playground by meeting new friends! Any one in need of a buddy just sits on the bench, and then a new buddy approaches the bench to become friends and play games. This project is such a cool one and I am excited to see it in our ward!
