The Clark County Department of Finance is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Accountant I/II position located within Comptroller’s Office. The Comptroller's Office is the central coordinating financial agency of the County, responsible for both external and internal financial reporting as well as the processing and maintenance of all official accounting records. Duties will include performing government accounting and fiscal analysis in the preparation, maintenance, analysis, and verification of the County's fiscal and accounting records; preparing, maintaining, analyzing, verifying, and reconciling complex financial transactions, statements, records, and reports; coordinating various accounting activities; and assisting in the preparation of annual audit and year end closing.

The Fire Prevention Division of the Clark County Fire Department is looking to hire a Fire Training Instructor specifically for that division. This new position will be responsible for training in specialized areas such as fire prevention life safety systems, current Fire Codes, NFPA Standards, Clark County Fire Department SOPs and County and Departmental policies, as well as applicable Nevada Revised Statutes.
Prepares, delivers, and evaluates public safety, supervisory and other training courses and classes which pertain to Fire Prevention services, Emergency Medical Services, fire service, management, and supervision.
This job class is responsible for designing and delivering training related to fire department operations and public safety.

Training Exercise and Presentation: Candidates will have one hour to prepare a 15-minute PowerPoint training presentation from a list of topics that will reveal a candidate’s knowledge of basic Fire Prevention topics as well as instructional skills. They will be given 15 minutes to present the training they developed which will be evaluated by the panel, and their oral interview will follow their presentation.

Some positions may be used to fill job share positions. Job Share positions are for two (2) employees performing in permanent positions of the same classification who share one specific job. Time worked will be 21 hours per week. Job Share employees will be paid at their hourly rate for actual hours worked. Sick and vacation leave benefits will accrue on a prorated basis based on hours worked in a pay period.
