Call for Artists
Paint en plein air in the Nature Preserve! Come any time after 9 am to check in and choose your location. Bring your own supplies. Participating artists will be invited to submit pieces for inclusion in a future Exhibit, summer 2023.

Plein Air Workshop
Free hourly outdoor plein air workshops with instructor Melanie La May. All supplies provided, no experience necessary. Space is limited, sign up at checkin.

Youth Art Workshop
Artist Tracy P. Martin, in partnership with Clark County Public Arts, will lead a kid's workshop contributing to a temporary art installation, creating dioramas using recycled and discarded materials.

From 11 am to 1 pm in the Information Kiosk. Meet the artist, the 2022 Wetlands Artist in Residence. Artwork on display from March 4 through April 29.

Poetry Workshop
From 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, a poetry workshop led by Elizabeth Quiñones-Zaldaña, a poetry ambassador for the Nevada state poet laureate Gailmarie Pahmeier poetry project. Participation in Art Day made possible by Nevada Humanities.

Nevada PS I Love You Postcard Project
Bobbie Ann Howell with Nevada Humanities will facilitate a workshop inviting participants to express the things we love about Nevada in art, poetry, and haiku.

Live Music from Black Fire Duo
Resilda Lala and Taylor Crawford bring music to the Las Vegas community through outreach concerts.

BioBlast - Birds & More!
Saturday, April 29 9 am to 1 pm
Celebrate World Migratory Bird Day & learn about all the plants and animals of Wetlands Park! Visit Science Stations, where guest scientists and naturalists will help you find and identify fish, bugs, plants, birds, and mammals. The Nature Center will feature lots of games and activities, too! Free, no registration required. Fun for all ages.
