Jun 26; 2 PM – 7PM; SFCC Campus Center SFCC’s Trades Open House held in the Campus Center offers the public an opportunity to learn about the new certificate programs in HVAC/Plumbing, Electrical Technician, and Building and Home Remodel. Deadline: Jun 30 This is an application portal for a 10-week course covers the technical and practical aspects of hybrid and electric vehicle systems. It provides an understanding of components including batteries, inverters, and electric motors while addressing the unique challenges in servicing, safety protocols, and diagnostics. Participants will receive a CDX certificate in hybrid and Electric Vehicles, and become Snap-On NC3 Volt Ohm Meter Certified to safely operate on EV's.This course is free for New Mexico residents while funding lasts.

APRENDE is an early childhood teacher training program that uses hands-on work experience in early childhood classrooms to earn certificates and degrees in early childhood. Inquiry Form Deadline: Jun 23 One-time grants between $25,000 and $100,000 will be awarded to registered 501(c)3 organizations to support training or equipment. Priority will be given to applicants with the capability to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and/or growth. Organizations may fill out an Inquiry Form by June 23, 2025, and must be invited to apply.
Deadline: Jul 14 Youth Civic Infrastructure fosters reciprocal collaborations between nonprofits and schools by engaging students in real-world, student-driven community projects. Youth Civic Infrastructure energizes capstones, work-based learning, and other approaches to make school graduate profiles come alive in your school. The application for 2025 1-year Exploration Grants will open on June 16 and close July 14, with grantees selected and announced in early August.

LANL Director, Dr. Thom Mason will give an update on the Laboratory’s role in supporting K-12 STEM education, higher education and workforce development, followed by the 2025 STEAM Summit, intended to create a STEAM Framework for Northern New Mexico that ensures young people in our region have access to STEAM learning opportunities in-school and out-of-school, as well as access to college, career and community pathways that prepare them for STEAM careers in the 21st century.
