In light of improving wildland fire conditions, and the fact that the Santa Fe National Forest has lifted their forest closure order effective today, it is no longer necessary for Santa Fe County to retain our local trail closure order.
Santa Fe County trails (that provide access to the Santa Fe National Forest) re-opened today, Monday July 9, 2018 to coincide with the federal order allowing full public access!
Previously, due to extreme fire conditions, the Santa Fe County Fire Chief had directed all Santa Fe County trails that provided access to the Santa Fe National Forest be temporarily closed.
