The New
Mexico Environment Department will conduct public outreach meetings regarding
the proposed repeal of the New Mexico Ambient Air Quality Standard for Total Suspended Particulate, the development of a dust mitigation plan, and adoption of a fugitive dust rule. These
meetings will be held in Deming (1/9/2018), Las Cruces (1/10/2018), and Santa Fe (1/11/2018) where
representatives of the Department will provide information regarding the repeal of the Total Suspended Particulate Standard, and background
information and required elements of a dust mitigation plan and rule adoption. Also, the Department will solicit public input on the scope and
objective of each action to guide the department in its efforts.
