To our readers,

Many of us are looking for activities to occupy our time at home. For some of us, it may be time to take stock of what's left in our freezers. Maybe you'll find frozen walleye or trout, a one pound block of ground elk or some doves from your last successful hunting trip or fishing excursion.

Here at the Department, plenty of our staffers are not only hunters and anglers; they're also avid cooks who have been spending a lot of extra time in the kitchen. We asked around for some of their favorite recipes. Everyone was eager to share their favorites.

We hope you find something here you'd like to try out in your kitchen. Visit us on Facebook to let us know how it went, or, better yet, share one of your go-to fish or wild game recipes.
