What is the Behavioral Health Ordinance and why do we need it?
Bernalillo County Commissioners Adriann Barboa and Eric Olivas have proposed a Behavioral Health Ordinance to create a Behavioral Health Authority, which would facilitate a system of care with a "no wrong door approach" for those who need behavioral health services in Bernalillo County. The authority would work with local, state, and regional partners to create bridges between organizations and make sure community members are easily accessing the high quality care they need.
The Ordinance is scheduled to be voted on by the entire Commission on May 28th.
