 Flood Irrigation workshop on Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Gutiérrez Hubbell Open Space at 6029 Isleta Blvd SW.
Middle Rio Grande Conservancy District (MRGCD) staff will lead a discussion and answer questions about flood irrigating in the Middle Rio Grande Valley. What you'll learn:
- Infrastructure operations
- Maximizing discharge
- Water service contracts and MRGCD procedures
- Improving efficiency
- Requests for turnout upgrades
- How to irrigate multiple fields
We'll also tour new flood irrigation infrastructure at the Gutiérrez Hubbell House that has significantly reduced water use and irrigation times.

 How to Build an Efficient Tree Watering System workshop on Saturday, June 8, 2024, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Gutiérrez Hubbell Open Space at 6029 Isleta Blvd SW.
Learn how much to water your trees based on their seasonal needs. We'll provide you with parts for a simple, efficient tree drip irrigation system that attaches to your hose bib. We'll also walk you through how to build the system step-by-step, so you'll feel confident installing it at your own home. Instructor: Richard Perce, Groundwork Studio.

 Laundry-to-Landscape Graywater workshop on Saturday, June 15, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the Hubbell Ag Center at 5945 Isleta Blvd SW.
Laundry-to-landscape (L2L) graywater systems distribute graywater from your washing machine to your landscape. They are low cost and easy to install. In this workshop, we'll provide guidance on how to design, install, and maintain an L2L system. Instructor: Doug Pushard, Harvest H2O.
