"How Much is that Doggie in the Window" by Ann Dunbar.
Ann Dunbar is a versatile artist and dedicated teacher at Bosque School in Albuquerque. She has also taught in Turkey and operated her own art school. Beyond the classroom, Ann's contributions extend to the community through the Art Ark Project at the Albuquerque Children's Museum and as an artist in the Global Depot at the Museum of International Folk Art; moreover, she initiated an art program for inmates at the Women's Honor Unit of the State Penitentiary.
Ann Dunbar is known for her work that weaves together food, clothing, history, language, and cultures to evoke nostalgia. She received the Albuquerque "Bravos Award" in 2007, acknowledging her significant impact on the arts in her community. Ann's passion for the arts is evident in both her teaching and personal artistic endeavors, leaving a lasting impact on those who encounter her work.
During this year's Adopt-a-Shelter-Pet month, we are delighted to feature Ann Dunbar's piece, "How Much is that Doggie in the Window". Her work is displayed at PB&J Family Services: SE Heights Office and Therapeutic Preschool and is part of Bernalillo County's Public Art Collection.
