Two 2022 customer surveys document customer service benefits arising from Bernalillo County’s consolidation of services at Alvarado Square and also document the efforts of a highly motivated customer service team.

County Commission Approves Opioid Settlement Funds for Fentanyl Prevention Education and Awareness Campaign
The Bernalillo County Commission approved use of $975,000 from the opioid settlement fund for fentanyl prevention and educational awareness training, and enhancement of the keepNMalive.com website. The funding was approved by the commission at its regular administrative meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 24. 

County Commission Votes in Support of Local, Inclusive Conservation Action
Today the Bernalillo County Commission passed a resolution that not only supports protecting 30% of lands and waters by 2030, but also endorses a new vision for conservation in New Mexico, one that is inclusive, respects Indigenous knowledge, acknowledges past environmental racism and works towards equitable access and benefits to nature for those who have been disproportionately exposed to toxic environments.

Commissioner Walt Benson Addresses Recent Shootings Targeting Elected Officials
County Commissioner Walt Benson is denouncing recent gunshot violence targeting several elected officials in the Albuquerque area. A sitting Bernalillo County commissioner, a former Bernalillo County commissioner and two state legislators had gunshots fired at their homes in recent weeks.
