HOLIDAY RECYCLING TIPS: Recycling rules don’t change during the holidays despite the myriad of seasonal items we may have to dispose of. Keep recycling clean and simple. Only recycling clean cardboard (flattened), paper (plain), metal food and beverage cans (empty), and only recycle plastics shaped like bottles, jugs, jars, or tubs. For the crafty and creative, reusing materials you have around the house to create eco-friendlier holiday decorations is one step towards reducing waste.

Cold weather in the forecast?
Bernalillo County is diverse in its beauty - and it's also diverse in its weather conditions.
What could be a beautiful day in the South Valley could be a snow-packed day in the East Mountains or other areas.
