The Bernalillo County Clerk’s Office, Recording and Filing Department will be closed every day between noon and 1:15 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Starting Monday, Aug. 29, 2022, the Clerk’s Office’s Recording and Filing Department (marriages, passports, real estate, public records lookup) located at Bernalillo County @ Alvarado Square, 415 Silver Ave. SW. will be closed from noon - 1:15 p.m. Monday - Friday.
The Clerk’s Office is happy to serve their customers during their business hours: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - noon and 1:15 p.m. - 5 p.m.

Bernalillo County Commission Vice Chair, Walt Benson, spoke with Asian business owners and prospective operators at the first Asian business expo hosted by the Asian Business Collaborative.
The expo is co-sponsored by the county and is an opportunity for the local Asian and Pacific Islander business community to gather information about steps needed to open a business including safety, labor and opportunities in the county.

The Bernalillo County Public Art program’s sculpture gallery is now in place and available for the public to view and enjoy. It is located on the second floor skybridge of Bernalillo County @ Alvarado Square.
The gallery features eight new sculptures. Here is a list of the artists and the artworks:

Get ready to walk, jog, strut and stroll your way along the picturesque Bosque during Bernalillo County’s eighth annual Sugar Skull Fun Run on Sunday, Oct. 23 at the National Hispanic Cultural Center, 1701 4th Street SW. This year participants can select from a timed 5K for runners, a 5k fun walk/run or a one-mile strut and stroll for strollers and pets.
Early bird registration is now underway and continues through Aug. 31. The early bird registration fee is $35 and increases to $45 from Sept. 1 to Oct. 20. Late registration will cost $55 and be available Oct. 21-22. Registration will not be possible on the day of the event. The registration fee includes the coveted SSFR T-shirt which this year was designed by local artist Spencer Onorato. Children 7-years-old and younger can participate for free and no registration is required. A limited number of kid sized SSFR T-shirts will be available for purchase in person on a first come, first served basis.

Packets not picked up on these days will be available on race day at the event information desk.

BernCo Commission Approves Amendments to Santolina Plan Master plan level B-II Aug. 17, 2022 – The Bernalillo County Board of Commissioners has approved minor amendments to the Santolina Level A Master Plan in order to allow a 630-acre level B-II plan located on the east side of Shelley Road, SW, approximately three miles south of I-40. This action establishes opportunities for industrial uses that emphasize low water consumption, renewable energy, recycling, and solid waste disposal. The overall master plan was adopted on June 16, 2015.
