The Board of County Commissioners is reviewing three concepts for remapping political boundaries in the county in response to population changes documented by the 2020 Census. The County must redraw the geographical boundaries that correspond to the county’s five districts to account for changes in population. To view the proposed remapping concepts click on the images below or visit Bernco.gov/redistricting.
The webpage also contains the current maps for districts 1-5, the proposed remapping concepts, on-demand video of the presentation of the concepts by Research and Polling, a link to submit a written public comment, and the phone number to call to make a public comment that will be transcribed verbatim. There is also a link to a background report on redistricting prepared for Bernalillo County by Research and Polling.
