About the Presenter
Lark Robart Lark Robart, a family historian and blogger, first became interested in genealogy when she was about 12 years old. For as long as she can remember, she loved hearing her mother’s stories about her own ancestors. Every summer when Lark’s family made a trip to Montana, where her ancestors settled between the 1860s and 1890s, her Mom made sure to include genealogy research jaunts each and every time.
After retiring as a paralegal in 2015, Lark finally had time to dig into her family roots . . . and that’s when she learned that all eight of her great grandparents had lived in Montana. And it was a deep and rich history on both sides of the family. She launched two blogs, one dedicated to all her great grandparents called Eight Roads to Montana, and the other dedicated solely to her paternal great grandmother, who turned out to be quite a family historian herself. In fact, that great grandmother’s vast photo and ephemera collection, based largely on a very important boom-and-bust mining town, was recently donated to the Montana Historical Society.
Lark has been a member of the Albuquerque Genealogical Society since 2015, and is the current Vice President.
