During last night's meeting, the Township Council proclaimed February as Black History Month in Willingboro. Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the upcoming events hosted by the Willingboro Recreation and Parks Department, patronize area Black owned businesses and share stories that celebrate African American history. The 429 Art Gallery, a live performance hosted by Faith In Action on Saturday, February 11th, Open Mic and a special presentation by Impactful Black are among the highlights for this year's Black History Month celebration. The deadline for the ANCHOR property tax relief program is fast approaching. We want to make sure that as many homeowners and renters as possible sign up for this program. Eligible homeowners can receive up to $1500 and renters can get $450.

The Willingboro Neighborhood Watch meets every third Thursday at 7:00 pm at the Reva Foster Senior Center and all are welcome! Be a part of this opportunity to work collaboratively with the police department and community members to better our community. All residents interested in discussing the history and future use of one Willingboro's historical gems are invited to be a part of a Futuro House focus group and discussion. The discussion, hosted by the Willingboro Community Development Corporation, will be held on Thursday, February 16th at 6:45 pm at the Kennedy Center.
All teens ages 14-18 are invited to a workshop series kick-off on Saturday, February 18th! The workshop will begin at 11:00 am and will be held at the Kennedy Center. Applications for the Citizen Police Academy are now availble. Classes will be held on Saturdays beginning on April 1st and will run through April 29 from 9 am - 12:00 pm. Classes are available to all who live and work in Willingboro, ages 21 and over. Applications can be picked up at the Willingboro Police Department or can be accessed by clicking here.
