3rd Saturday Hike

Feel like taking a hike but don't want to set out on your own? Join our monthly, moderate, 2 - 3 mile guided hike to experience the wonders of Pyramid Mountain. Hikes cross uneven ground with some steep sections. Wear good hiking shoes and bring water. Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome too. Register here

Three Centuries of Hearth Cooking: Workshops for adults or families

Explore the history of American cuisine, cooking methods, and food customs over an open-hearth fire. Each month this Winter, we explore a different period of American life through the recipes and cooking techniques of 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries. This month, we are preparing, sampling and sending home a dish from the 17th century. Register here.
The morning session is for adults with some cooking experience. Cost: $35 per person.
The afternoon mini-workshop session is for children over 8 with an accompanying adult. Cost: $20 per child.

This program for older homeschoolers features a hike on the rugged trails of Pyramid Mountain with a nature lesson along the way! It's a chance for older kids to cover some ground on hikes of approximately 3 miles while learning something new.
