Passport Processing Times Drop to Pre-Pandemic Levels
Passport processing times are shortest since March 2020, making now a great time to obtain or renew your passport. The Monmouth County Clerk's Office has two passport offices to assist residents in completing their applications, making the process even easier.
Passport processing times are now 6 to 8 weeks for routine service and 2 to 3 weeks for expedited service. (Estimates do not include mailing times, which may vary.)
The passport application is available for download on the Monmouth County Clerk’s website along with step-by-step directions on requirements concerning identification, proof of citizenship and photos. For the convenience of county residents, both Monmouth County Clerk Passport Offices offer photo service for a $10 fee.
