 Fourth Grade ‘My County’ Poster Contest Winners Honored
Monmouth County's Constitutional Officers, County Clerk Christine Giordano Hanlon, Sheriff Shaun Golden and Surrogate Rosemarie Peters celebrated the fourth-grade winners of their Annual ‘My County’ poster contest at a meeting of the Board of Chosen Freeholders on July 11.
(L to R) Emmitt Whiting of Brielle Elementary School earned first place in the poster contest, Madelyne Fitch of Atlantic Highlands Elementary School placed second, and Mischa Jain of Indian Hill School in Holmdel received third place.
Honorable mentions include Katy Sawyer, Josie Corr, Finley Reese and Amy Basaman of Atlantic Highlands Elementary School; Emily Manzo and Matthew Papagni of Allenwood School; Charlotte Mathias and Leonora Grillo of Deal School; Emma Amirante of Taylor Mills School; Sydney Connor of St. Leo the Great School; and Yara Ally of St. James Elementary School.
The winning posters will be displayed in the lobby of our Main Freehold Office, located at 33 Mechanic Street, on a rotating basis over the next year.
Mobile County Connection Visits the Four Seasons in Upper Freehold
In continuation of their outreach efforts to Monmouth County’s communities, Clerk Hanlon, Sheriff Golden, and Surrogate Peters hosted another successful Mobile County Connection at the Four Seasons in Upper Freehold on July 10.
The Four Seasons residents received information about many County government services, including passport assistance, veterans and county identification cards, wills, estates, and ident-adult identification cards. Representatives from Monmouth County's Transportation Division and Division of Aging, Disabilities and Veteran Services were also on site to provide additional information.
“We were thrilled to bring the Mobile County Connection to the Four Seasons again this summer to extend our services to the community's residents,” said Clerk Hanlon. "Thank you to the Four Seasons and their Civics Issues Committee for having us."
