Important Travel Notice Regarding Digital IDs

The U.S. Department of State has released a public notice informing that digital identification documents, such as drivers licenses, which can be viewed on a cell phone with a mobile app, are not acceptable when applying for a U.S. passport.

All passport applicants must continue to present identification in the form of a physical document.

Monmouth County Clerk Christine Giordano Hanlon, Esq. encourages residents in need of passport services to visit one of our three convenient passport offices in Freehold, Neptune, or Eatontown. For more information, please visit our website at MonmouthCountyClerk.com

Honoring our Heroes

Support Monmouth County Veterans by Participating in our "Honoring our Heroes" Program

Did you know? County Clerk Hanlon issues Veterans’ Cards as a way to honor and identify those Monmouth County residents who served our country in active military duty. Veterans' Cards can be obtained in our Freehold and Neptune Offices by providing a drivers license and Original DD-214 “Report of Separation.”

These Veterans’ Cards give Monmouth County veterans the ability to receive valuable discounts from the local retailers who participate in our "Honoring our Heroes" program.

Our Veterans Discount Guidebook is available to every veteran who has a Veterans Card issued by the Monmouth County Clerk’s Office. Inside the 45 plus page guidebook is a listing of stores, restaurants and other businesses in Monmouth County committed to offering products and/or service discounts to veterans.

If your business is interested in offering special discounts to veterans and participating in our program, please visit our website at MonmouthCountyClerk.com

Mobile CC

County Clerk Hanlon, Surrogate Rosemarie Peters, and Sheriff Shaun Golden hosted a successful Mobile County Connection at the Four Seasons in Upper Freehold last month, as part of their outreach effort to various communities in Monmouth County.

During the event, the County Clerk, Surrogate, and Sheriff, along with their staff, provided the services of their respective government offices. “I can't tell you how excited this entire community is to have had County Clerk Christine Hanlon, Sheriff Shaun Golden and Surrogate Rosemarie Peters visit,” said Four Seasons Civics Issues Committee Co-Chair Bob Ryan. “Everyone including [the County staff] was so professional and efficient.”
