Grab your pole and come ready to get hooked!  Our Bayshore Fishing Derby is Saturday, June 2.  Held from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. at Bayshore Waterfront Park, Port Monmouth, this derby is open to beginners as well as experienced anglers.  Need a little help?  We’ll teach you how to rig and cast your fishing pole. Registration is $8 per person, $4 each additional person; cash or check only on site.

  • Climb Time from 12-4 p.m. on Sunday, June 3 at Freneau Woods Park, Aberdeen. Try our 25’ portable climbing wall. Climbers must be 42” or taller and age 8 or older (under 18 with adult). Weather permitting. FREE!       

  • Save a Life! CPR AED Certification from 7-9:30 p.m. on Monday, June 4 at the Thompson Park Visitor Center, Lincroft.  Learn life-saving CPR and AED use, as well as how to relieve choking in adults, children and infants. Open to ages 14 and up. Pre-registration and fee required.

  • Pilates Mat Workout from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays & Thursdays, June 5-July 12 at the Tatum Park Holland Activity Center, Middletown. Strengthen and lengthen muscles, improve posture and flexibility, and work on your deep abdominals during this class.  Pre-registration and fee required.

  • Concert in the Park at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 7 at the Thompson Park Activity Barn, Lincroft. Enjoy an evening of music as the Colts Neck Community Band performs a selection of popular music and show tunes. Indoor seating available or bring your lawn chairs. FREE!  

  • About Boating Safely from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday, June 9 at the Thompson Park Visitor Center, Lincroft.  Join us for this comprehensive one-day course and receive the New Jersey State Police Certificate. Open to ages 13 and up.  Pre-registration and fee required.

  • Primitive Fire and S'mores from 7-8:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 9 at Turkey Swamp Park, Freehold. Discover various methods of creating fire using primitive and modern techniques. Afterward, we’ll roast s’mores. Pre-registration and fee required.

 

Calling Eco/Green/Sustainable Vendors!  Our Eco-Elephant Family Flea Market is almost here and still has some open spots.  Held from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, June 16 at the Dorbrook Recreation Area, Colts Neck, this event also features new and used household items, vintage, antiques, crafts and more.
