Kick-off the holiday season in Monmouth County

Tourism fall

The leaves are falling and so are the temperatures. The month of November is upon us and the holiday season is just around the corner. With Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving and the start of the holiday hustle, there’s plenty to do, see, taste and hear.

One thing to be thankful for this November is that you can enjoy Monmouth County; the place you want to be during the most wonderful time of the year! Tourism's year-round calendar of events is an excellent way to find events and programs.

Did you know?

November is American Diabetes Month. The American Diabetes Association recommends adding physical activity to your daily routine in order to prevent type 2 diabetes. Something as simple as a brisk walk on the trails in your local park makes your heart and bones strong, relieves stress, improves blood circulation, and lowers your risk for type 2 diabetes, heart disease and stroke. The recommendation is about 30 minutes a day of aerobic exercise, at least five days a week. Looking for some nearby trails? See what your County parks have to offer by visiting the Monmouth County Park System webpage.
