Mercer County Clerk Paula Sollami Covello Announces 2025 Primary Election Information
TRENTON, NJ — As 2025 Primary Election Day approaches on June 10, 2025, Mercer County Clerk Paula Sollami Covello reminds voters of important upcoming election dates and encourages participation through in-person, early voting, or vote-by-mail. Whichever option you choose, Mercer County election offices work to ensure that your voice can be heard in this important democratic process.
Can I still register to vote? Yes! The deadline to register to vote for the Primary Election is Tuesday, May 20. Voters can register to vote online and find out the status of their registration here.
Primary Election – Tuesday, June 10, 2025

Voter Registration Deadline: Tuesday, May 20th, 2025, 8 PM.

Deadline to Apply for Vote-by-Mail Ballot by Mail: Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025

Deadline to Apply for Vote-by-Mail Ballot In-Person: Monday, June 9th, 2025, by 3:00 PM

Return Your Vote by Mail Ballot: Must be Mailed and postmarked on or before Election Day and received by the Board of Elections by June 16th, 2025; or placed in a secure ballot drop box by 8:00 PM on Election Day.

Early Voting Period: Tuesday, June 3rd – Sunday, June 8th, 2025; Monday-Saturday, 10:00 AM- 8:00 PM; Sunday 10:00 AM -6:00 PM

Election Day Poll Hours: Tuesday June 10, 6:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Vote-by-Mail Ballots must be postmarked by Election Day and received at the Board of Elections within 6 days or placed in an official drop box or delivered to the Board of Elections by 8:00 PM on Election Day.

Secure Drop Boxes will be located across Mercer County. Locations and details will be available on the County Clerk’s website here.

In-Person Early Voting offers flexible options for voters unable to get to the polls on Election Day. There are 7 early voting locations available throughout Mercer County, and any registered Mercer County voter can vote at any of these locations during the early voting period.
Important Reminder: To vote in the Primary Election, a voter must be registered with a political party. If you are unaffiliated, you can declare your affiliation when you cast your ballot at the polls.
