Tulpehaking Nature Camp Offers Outdoor Exploration for Youth Ages 7-12 This Summer

Hamilton, NJ – Calling all young explorers and creators! Tulpehaking Nature Camp invites you to a summer of adventure filled with history and fun. Located beside the Abbott Marshlands in Hamilton, the Nature Center offers campers a week of treks through the local ecosystem, as well as traditional games and crafts from New Jersey’s indigenous Lenape people.

“Our nature camps are a highlight of our summer programming in our parks,” said County Executive Dan Benson. “Each year we look forward to welcoming dozens of young campers and providing them with an opportunity to disconnect from their screens and spend time exploring our beautiful local ecosystem.”

The Camp is offered July 28 - August 1 and August 4-8 at Tulpehaking Nature Center with groups for campers ages 7-9 and 10-12. Program tuition is $250 per week for Mercer County residents and $350 per week for all others. The daily adventures run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with before and after care available at an additional cost.

“This camp is a unique opportunity to discover nature through the lens of the Lenape,” explained Director of Environmental Education Kelly Rypkema. “Our leaders will showcase the unique ecosystem and history of the Abbott Marshlands through hands-on activities.”
