What our Automotive General Service Technicians do:

  • Mount, balance, and install tires. Maintain knowledge of general automotive skills, and continue to develop additional technical skills, to enable flexibility in work assignments.

  • Perform the following repairs: fluid flush and replacement, visual vehicle inspection, belt and hose replacement, battery testing and replacement, and general automotive repairs.

  • Clean and maintain test equipment and machines. Empty portable fluid drains, as necessary, into the bulk waste fluid storage tanks, and clean portable drains in accordance with shop guidelines.

  • Our full-time technicians work a total of 5 days each week, with Mondays, Friday & Saturdays typically required. You’ll get Sundays Off each week, and another day during the week off, dependent on business need.

What you will need:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Previous automotive technician experience.

  • A valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record and the ability to operate passenger vehicles and light and medium-duty trucks with automatic and manual transmissions.

  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time and ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

  • The ability to complete satisfactory Pre-Employment Screenings (background check, drug screening, occupational physical assessment) if offered the position.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Must be at least 21 years old

  • Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license for the state where you reside; and maintain all state and local licensing requirements.

  • Ability to pass a physical examination as required by the Department of Transportation and/or Company policy.  

  • 3 years of experience in an automotive/mechanical environment, or technical school OR a minimum of 3 years of experience in a sales and/or customer service role is preferred.

  • Lift and carry equipment weighing up to 75 pounds; bend, kneel and balance to change tires, inspect and to push vehicles; and use hand tools to provide service.

  • Satisfactory pre-and post-employment screening results, including criminal, drug and motor vehicle screening.

  • Operate passenger vehicles and light-medium duty trucks (both manual and automatic transmissions) while primarily working from a service vehicle.

  • Communicate effectively in writing, verbally, via email and using assigned technology such as GPS (Global Positioning Systems).

  • Successfully complete required departmental training courses within 60 days of hire, and additional future department training as required.  (May need to adjust your schedule to attend training).

What will you do?

  • Provide lock-out, fuel delivery, battery jumpstarts and tire change services using established guidelines and quality control procedures.

  • Sell and install car batteries (Mobile Battery position only).

  • Provide tow and recovery services using established guidelines and quality control procedures (Tow Truck Driver position).

  • Communicate with members effectively to keep them informed and to ensure their safety.

  • Make sound decisions regarding the safe service of vehicles and to accommodate member needs. 

  • Enter call information accurately into in-truck technology, process payments, handle cash and complete reports as required.

  • Conduct vehicle and equipment inspections, ensure that all are in safe operating condition and that all requirements are met.  Ensure that the fleet vehicle and all equipment are adequately secured at all times, including when the vehicle is not in use.

  • Support AAA as needed by participating in special events (parades, television, radio, and social media) promoting the brand.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Purpose:

The RX Waste Technician works on-site at hospitals sorting pharmaceutical waste, and provides waste sort feedback to customer.  During a waste sort one must consolidate, prepare, and package hazardous and non-hazardous Rx waste materials applying federal, state and DOT regulations in preparation for transportation and disposal. Act as a liaison between customer and sales support.

Key Job Activities:

  • Travels between customer facilities providing on-site pharmaceutical waste sorting at a healthcare facility, as required or requested.  
  • Maintains a rigid service schedule.
  • Communicates duty status on a defined scheduled.
  • Performs other related duties as required or requested.
  • Provides written and verbal reports to customer and supervisor.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

Experience:

  • Education equivalent to graduation from high school, demonstrating strong communication skills and tact in providing superior service in a variety of settings and situations.
  • Two or more years of industry-related experience as a lab pack technician, service specialist or driver, or the equivalent in related work experience.  
  • Demonstrates knowledge of computer software applications including spreadsheets and word processing.
