Field Service Technician Status: Non-Exempt (hourly) Department: Field Service Travel Requirement: 100% travel Position Summary The Field Service Technician will support our fuel cell products currently installed in electric lift trucks, including performing preventative maintenance and resolving breakdowns. This person will be responsible for the installation and servicing of fuel cells at a specific location. This person will also be responsible for reporting breakdown events, parts ordering and maintenance of fuel cells at a specific location. This position presents a great amount of exposure to customer personnel and electric lift truck operators, and thus requires a person with excellent technical skills as well as communication, interpersonal and motivational skills. 

Core Duties and Responsibilities:  Maintenance and service of fuel cells at customer sites. Performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, and evaluations to maintain the fleet at a specific location. Performing specialized service procedures, including field retrofits and software and hardware upgrades to existing fuel cells. Providing on-call and emergency support service to customers as required Purchasing tools, equipment, and parts for customer service and support as required.  May require troubleshooting and maintenance of high-pressure hydrogen storage, 480VAC, flammability, cryogenic liquid, high pressure gas and fueling systems.  May include maintaining ongoing communication with customer personnel hydrogen suppliers regarding aftermarket support of fuel cells.  Providing regular feedback to regional service representatives regarding fuel cell performance and field maintenance issues.  Completing administrative duties & documentation, including: incident reports, service logs, inventory maintenance and site and system documentation.  Exhibiting and enforcing safety procedures in the field or customer sites.  Travel as required for business needs; expected to drive safely and to adhere to all traffic laws.  Represent Plug Power in a professional manner at all times and in all interactions.  Perform other duties as assigned. 

Education and Experience:  Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with technical electrical coursework. Three (3) or more years of direct experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting. Formal training and education may be also considered in lieu of direct experience. Must possess a valid driver license, a clean driving record, and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.  Must be able to lift 50 pounds on regular basis unassisted.  Knowledge of lift truck operation and applications is highly preferred.  General mechanical aptitude is required.  Computer and software systems skills as applicable to position including but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.  Dynamic interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences and stakeholders at all levels.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Creativity in solving technical problems.  Ability to work independently, Uncompromising dedication to quality, Exceptional time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks. SUMMARY: Residential program for adult residents which are state inmates classified to a work release program. Staff is accountable to carry out assigned duties relating to the treatment and security of the residence and residents while following establish protocols and procedures approved by NJAC and the NJ Department of Corrections. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include but are not limited to:

The successful candidate shall report to the Program Supervisor. The responsibilities are treatment in function, with the coordination of: providing direct supervision to case managers and ensuring clients receive appropriate services based on assessed need, and supports the overall treatment component of the program, ensures the provision of treatment program.

Provide overall direction and coordination of programs for Clients assigned to the New Jersey Association on Correction at Clinton House. Supervise all case managers as it relates to service delivery in accordance with established policies and procedures established by NJAC. Maximize and fulfill the mission of Wellness as it relates to drug dependency. Provide periodic reports and Coordination with other staff throughout NJAC.

In conjunction with case managers and the program supervisor, insure that each client is rendered services and groups which are in accordance to industry evidence based standards and contractual obligations.

Insure that all client screenings, identification, management, and treatment of substance abuse problems are in accordance to our contract with the NJDOC and NJAC guidelines.

Primary case management duties include: individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, conflict resolution, approve authorized outings into the community and assign accountability levels, Urine testing as needed, assessment and treatment planning, monthly behavioral evaluations, case presentations, conducting interventions, giving individual/group lectures and didactic presentations, facilitating community meetings, participating in multidisciplinary case conferences and treatment plan reviews, developing aftercare treatment plans, and all required documentation. Other areas of focus can include PREA, Alumni Services, Family Services Smoke Cessation, Orientation and HIV Services. Will participate in daily shift-change meetings, staff and house meetings. Will rotate on-call responsibilities with other case management staff.

Ensure the development and implementation of comprehensive treatment plans for residents Assess and identify clinical issues for each resident and monitor the creation of clear objectives and goals

Monitor the tracking and documentation of resident progress in case reports

Meet all required internal and external standards and policies.

Stay current with ACA and PREA Requirements

Complete required annual training in compliance with due dates

Perform Accountability Duties: 

  • accounting for each resident in the facility and in the community on a real time basis;
  • ensuring the safety and security of staff and residents in the Facility;
  • providing supervision and surveillance of the residents, staff and visitors as well as the facility perimeter;
  • ensuring that contraband is not brought into the facility; conducting facility searches;

conducting urine monitoring; monitoring entry and egress of all residents and visitors.

QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate must be successfully cleared by NJDOC and NJAC prior to employment commencement. Candidate is required also possess at least two (2) years of experience directly supervising others. In addition, they are required to have practical skills in communication, counseling processes and resource development. Additional job-related skills include: working with addictive personalities; a basic understanding of human behavior; and utilizing group dynamics to address special needs populations. Effective written and verbal communication skills and an ability to interact appropriately with clientele is important. A thorough working knowledge of social learning theory, cognitive-behavioral intervention and approaches, assessment and evaluation, willingness to work flexible hours, which may include weekends and evenings, and demonstrated competencies in training, group interaction, and mentoring is required.
The employee in this position may be required to lift up to 50lbs., stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, use fingers, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Out-of-state certification is acceptable providing it is a comparable certification. The ideal candidate will be well organized, and have strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
