Taking a walk in the woods is a great way to spend an afternoon with the kids. Fathers, come and join us for a guided hike through Roebling Memorial Park and experience nature with your children.

Stand Tall Yoga 

Every Tuesday Morning 

10-11 am 

Tulpehaking Nature Center 

$5/person. Free to Members of the Friends for the Abbott Marshlands. 

Ages 12 and up. 

Keep your body and mind healthy in this yoga class designed to improve overall strength, flexibility, and balance. We begin seated in a chair, then move to standing poses, and close with a short guided meditation. Please bring a non-slip yoga mat. Any level welcome. Sponsored by Friends for the Abbott Marshlands.

Standing Yoga and Nature Walk

Join us for some fresh air and exercise during this monthly outdoor yoga mini-class (30-minutes) followed by a nature walk at a steady and comfortable pace. No mat needed. No experience needed!

Birdwatching for Beginners – Final Sessions

This 4-part Birdwatching for Beginners series began in March with the final two sessions occurring in April.  If you are interested in attending the final two sessions, please call Gretchen @ 609-888-3218 x 205 to see if we have any openings.  Each session includes time spent outdoors. Dress accordingly, bring binoculars, or borrow ours. This program is appropriate for people just beginning to have an interest in birdwatching. 

 

Meadow Fire Walk

Getting out in nature is great for our bodies and our minds. Join us as we explore a different park trail each month, while admiring various elements of nature. Wear sturdy shoes, bring binoculars, and dress for the weather.

Are you interested in the birds that fly above you? Have you ever wondered what they are called? We will take time to identify common birds of the area and create simple bird feeders that might attract the birds that are harder to spot!

Eyes on Eagles

All ages 

Join a naturalist by the Eagle Viewing area along Mercer Lake to take a peek at an eagles' nest through a spotting scope and to have your eagle questions answered. The viewing area is a 5-minute walk from the Mercer County Park-West picnic area parking lot.
