Human Services Commissioner Announces Launch of StopOverdoses Website Detailing Pharmacies Offering Free & Anonymous Overdose Antidote

Aug. 7, 2023  (TRENTON)Human Services Commissioner Sarah Adelman today announced the launch of StopOverdoses.nj.gov, where residents can find pharmacies offering life-saving naloxone anonymously and at no cost. The initiative is part of the Murphy Administration’s ongoing efforts to combat the opioid crisis and save lives by getting life-saving naloxone into as many hands as possible.

NEEDS ASSESSMENT SURVEY

 

Let your voice be heard by filling out the Office on Aging's Needs Assessment Survey. Responses to this survey will allow the Office on Aging to get a snapshot of the needs of the Mercer County aging community for its Area Plan. All responses received through September 1 will be used in the office's 2024 plan. 

Mercer County residents, older adults, and caregivers can complete this Needs Assessment online. You also may request a paper version by calling 609-989-6661 or emailing adrc@mercercounty.org

The Mercer County Department of Human Services fosters a comprehensive human service delivery system that enhances the health, safety, and quality of life for all residents of Mercer County. The department's goal is to create an environment of public trust by empowering and strengthening individuals and families, advocating for sound policy, mobilizing resources, and acting as champions for those citizens who are most vulnerable and in need of services.

Through its offices and divisions, the Department of Human Services provides funding to community-based organizations for those organizations to provide direct services to Mercer County residents. The department does not provide direct services to Mercer County residents, but directs Mercer County residents to where they can access services. With this funding, the Department of Human Services complies with procurement practices in accordance with the New Jersey Public Contracts Law 40:A:11-1 et seq.
