Mercer 4-H to celebrate Martin Luther King with annual Day of Service event
In the spirit of service, Mercer County 4-H will host a Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service program for youth on Jan. 16, 2023, 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Mercer Office Park, 1440 Parkside Ave., Ewing. See flyer below!
"There is great value in teaching children the importance of Dr. King's legacy," said Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes. "Using only his voice, Martin Luther King Jr. managed to transform our society, make it better for everyone, and change injustices. His message of love and understanding over anger and violence is something all people should strive to embrace."
During the Day of Service, participants will rotate through various stations to complete projects or task that will aid various organizations or groups. A pizza lunch will be provided.
