County to resurface Old Washington Crossing-Pennington Road

On or about Wednesday, Aug. 31, a milling and resurfacing project is scheduled to begin on Old Washington Crossing-Pennington Road (municipal roadway) in Hopewell Township. The Mercer County Department of Transportation & Infrastructure anticipates that this work will take approximately one week, weather permitting.

During this project, Old Washington Crossing-Pennington Road will be closed to through traffic from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; however, access will be permitted for local residents, and municipal and emergency vehicles. Motorists will be directed to use Washington Crossing-Pennington Road (County Route 546). Please note: Parking will not be permitted on Old Washington Crossing-Pennington Road during County working hours; traffic directors will assist during the resurfacing operation.
