County to resurface section of Parkway Avenue in Ewing/Trenton
Due to deteriorated pavement surface conditions, Parkway Avenue (County Route 634) between NJ Route 31 and West Ingham Avenue in Ewing Township and the City of Trenton is scheduled for milling and resurfacing by the Mercer County Department of Transportation & Infrastructure. Work is expected to begin Wednesday, Aug. 3, with an anticipated completion time of approximately two weeks, weather permitting.
Work will be completed in two phases:
- The first phase will consist of milling and paving Parkway Avenue from NJ Route 31 to Prospect Street. During this time, Parkway Avenue will be closed to through traffic with motorists directed to use NJ Route 31, Prospect Street and Parkway Avenue.
- The second phase will consist of milling and paving the section of Parkway Avenue from Prospect Street to West Ingham Avenue. During this time, Parkway Avenue will be closed to through traffic with motorists directed to use Kelsey Avenue, NJ Route 31, Prospect Street and Parkway Avenue.
Roadwork and detours will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday; however, access will be permitted for local businesses, residents, and service and emergency vehicles. Please note: Parking will not be permitted on Parkway Avenue between NJ Route 31 and Prospect Street during county working hours.
