County to resurface section of Sweetbriar Avenue in Hamilton
Due to deteriorated pavement surface conditions, Sweetbriar Avenue (County Route 649) between Vetterlein Avenue and Klockner Road in Hamilton Township is scheduled for milling and resurfacing by the Mercer County Department of Transportation & Infrastructure. Work is expected to begin Tuesday, May 31, with an anticipated completion time of approximately two weeks, weather permitting.
During this project, Sweetbriar Avenue will be closed to through traffic from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; however, access will be permitted for local residents, and municipal and emergency vehicles. Motorists will be directed to use Whitehead Road, East State Street and Klockner Road. Please note: Local traffic only will be permitted on Sweetbriar Avenue between Whitehead Road and Vetterlein Avenue.
