County to resurface section of Robbinsville-Allentown Road

Due to deteriorated pavement surface conditions, Robbinsville-Allentown Road (County Route 526) in Robbinsville Township from the Interstate 195 ramp to the Mercer County border is scheduled for milling and resurfacing by the Mercer County Department of Transportation and Infrastructure. Work is expected to begin Monday, April 11, with an anticipated completion time of approximately two weeks, weather permitting.

Work will be completed in two stages:

  • The first stage will consist of milling and paving Robbinsville-Allentown Road from the Interstate 195 ramp to Circle Drive. During this time, northbound traffic on Robbinsville-Allentown Road will be detoured; southbound traffic will be permitted at all times. Please note that during staged operation, motorists may experience delays.
  • The second stage will consist of milling and paving Robbinsville-Allentown Road from Circle Drive to the Mercer County border. During this time, Robbinsville-Allentown Road will be closed to through traffic. A detour will be posted directing motorists to use Edgebrook Road, Merrick Road, Yardville-Allentown Road, South Main Street, Church Street, Old York Road, Gordon Road and West Manor Way. Please note that local traffic only will be permitted between South Main Street and Johnson Drive in Allentown.
