As a follow-up in the series of Provider Information Sessions, the NJ Department of Children and Families' Office of Housing is partnering with Legal Services of New Jersey (LSNJ) to facilitate the next eviction prevention information session for provider partners, division staff, and Child Protection and Permanency teams on Tuesday, Dec. 7, from 2 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.

The session is a learning opportunity for participants to better understand available legal support related to eviction prevention resources. The LSNJ team will provide a brief orientation of how best to connect individuals and families to legal services and resources to maintain housing. The session will also include updates from the NJ Department of Community Affairs (DCA) team and is an opportunity to clarify questions about available housing resources. With this in mind, please share questions in advance via email with Kerry-Anne Henry at kerryanne.henry@dcf.nj.gov.

🔑 Important reminder:  To ensure households benefit from current eviction protections, they must complete the NJ DCA Income Self-Certification Form available using this link. We strongly encourage households to complete the form online as soon as possible. You may also call 609-490-4550 for assistance.

The Mercer County Department of Human Services fosters a comprehensive human service delivery system that enhances the health, safety, and quality of life for all residents of Mercer County. The department's goal is to create an environment of public trust by empowering and strengthening individuals and families, advocating for sound policy, mobilizing resources, and acting as champions for those citizens who are most vulnerable and in need of services.

Through its offices and divisions, the Department of Human Services provides funding to community-based organizations for those organizations to provide direct services to Mercer County residents. The department does not provide direct services to Mercer County residents, but directs Mercer County residents to where they can access services. With this funding, the Department of Human Services complies with procurement practices in accordance with the New Jersey Public Contracts Law 40:A:11-1 et seq.
