Tomorrow, Oct. 16, we're looking forward to hosting the Full Moon Ride at Rosedale Park in Mercer Meadows -- if rain doesn't force us to cancel this wonderful event. We're reaching out to let you know about our contingency plans, given that some rain is predicted during our event hours, 7:30-9:30 p.m.

Look for a "go - no go" decision on whether the Full Moon Ride will happen at about 1:30 p.m. tomorrow on the Lawrence Hopewell Trail's website: www.lhtrail.org.

If it's a go, we'll have a lovely evening. The bike ride by the light of the full moon will be spectacular, with some special treats for your senses along the way. The sounds of soft jazz will reach you at one spot along the six-mile ride, classical music at another and soft country western in still a third part of the trail. In addition to the live music, "Asteroid Alley," an astounding array of lights sparkling through the trees, will be the eye candy for the event.

The event starts and ends at the parking lot at Rosedale Lake. The entrance is located along Federal City Road, between Blackwell Road and Old Mill Road in Pennington, New Jersey.

To avoid any bottlenecks and maintain social distancing, riders will roll out from our starting point by Rosedale Lake upon their arrival, anytime between 7:30 and 9 p.m. (The last half hour of the event from 9-9:30 p.m. allows time for everyone to return to the starting point.)

We strongly encourage riders to wear masks around the parking and staging area when unable to maintain 6-foot distancing from others. Once out on the trail and away from others, please do as you are comfortable. But keep a mask handy.

We can’t wait to see you at our full moon adventure. And don’t forget to decorate your bikes!
