County to resurface section of South Olden Avenue in Hamilton
Due to deteriorated pavement surface conditions, South Olden Avenue (County Route 622) in Hamilton Township between Cedar Lane and Arena Drive (CR 620) is scheduled for milling and resurfacing by the Mercer County Department of Transportation and Infrastructure. Work is expected to begin Monday, Sept. 13, with an anticipated completion time of approximately two weeks, weather permitting.
During construction, South Olden Avenue will be closed to through traffic from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday; however, access will be permitted for local residents, and municipal and emergency vehicles. Motorists traveling east on South Olden Avenue (at Cedar Lane) will be directed to use Cedar Lane, Pitman Avenue, Central Avenue and Arena Drive to South Olden Avenue. Motorists traveling west on South Olden Avenue (at Volusia Avenue) will be directed to use Volusia Avenue, Sylvan Avenue, Newkirk Avenue and Cedar Lane to South Olden Avenue.
