Mercer County Concert Series continues THIS WEEKEND
The Park Commission will be holding another weekend of back-to-back entertainment with performances from Superunknown on Friday, Aug. 27 and Instant FUNK on Saturday, Aug. 28 at the Festival Grounds. Gates for both events will open at 5 p.m., opening acts will start at approximately 6:30 p.m.
Superunknown covers all eras of Chris Cornell, playing the music of Soundgarden, Audioslave and Temple of the Dog. Reedstan in particular uncannily recreates the howling vocals Cornell became celebrated for in the Seattle grunge scene. Opening for Superuknown will be The Outcrops.
Trenton's own Instant FUNK returns to the Festival Grounds for an evening of original music and mashups. Opening for Instant FUNK will be Epic Soul, performing classic R&B and current hits.
Guests welcomed to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and sealed bottles of water. Outside food and alcohol, coolers, and glass bottles are PROHIBITED.
